Using Australian Print Providers

We use a third-party print-on-demand platform that allows us to specifically choose local Australian print providers to produce and fulfil our gear. Wherever available, we choose to work with The Print Bar and Prima Printing, helping us keep production local rather than unnecessarily sending orders halfway around the world.

We’ve selected these providers based on their quality, reliability and approach to more responsible print-on-demand production. In particular, The Print Bar has demonstrated a commitment to ethical and environmentally responsible practices, including FSC-certified recyclable packaging, recycling soft plastics, paper, cardboard and textile waste, and continuing to adopt more sustainable printing materials and processes.

Using print-on-demand also means your product is made specifically when you order it, rather than us producing huge amounts of stock that may never be sold. It’s a simple approach that helps reduce unnecessary inventory and waste while still allowing us to bring our weird and wonderful ideas to life.

By specifically selecting The Print Bar and Prima Printing through our third-party fulfilment platform, we can support Australian print providers while delivering quality, locally produced gear straight to our customers.

Where Possible - DTG Printing Method

Where possible, we specifically choose direct-to-garment (DTG) printing when selecting products and print options through our vendors. We reckon it’s the best fit for our gear because it allows the artwork to feel like it actually belongs on the garment, with the ink printed directly onto the fabric rather than using a transfer that sits on top.

DTG is also a great match for the kind of artwork we create at Bogan Mate, allowing our print providers to reproduce the colours, details and all the little quirks that make our designs what they are.

The result is a comfortable, quality print that looks great and is made to handle regular wear and washing. Look after it properly, and your Bogan Mate gear should keep looking good wear after wear.

Why Print on Demand

The fashion industry has a habit of making a ridiculous amount of stuff and just hoping it all sells. Brands guess what people might want, produce mountains of stock, and when they get it wrong, the leftovers end up in discount bins, warehouses or landfill.

We reckon there’s a better way.

At Bogan Mate, we work with a third-party print-on-demand vendor that connects us with multiple print providers. Wherever possible, we specifically choose local Australian providers to produce and fulfil our gear. The important bit? Nothing gets printed until someone actually orders the bloody thing.

No piles of unsold tees. No warehouse full of designs nobody wanted. No awkward “what the hell do we do with 700 size smalls?” situation. You order it, one of our selected print providers makes it. Simple.

It also means we can keep a huge range of designs alive without worrying about whether every idea is going to be a bestseller. Weird, niche and ridiculously specific designs that only a handful of people understand? Perfect. They can stay.

That’s a big part of Bogan Mate — giving our weird, dumb and oddly specific ideas somewhere to live without needing to mass-produce a mountain of stuff just to justify them existing.

If someone wants it, it gets made. If nobody orders it, nothing gets printed.

Less unnecessary stock. Less waste. More weird shit. Everyone wins.
